The newest member of the band, Bruce, grew up in Alabama and Florida, where he began his 42-year career in guitar and vocals. Business opportunities brought Bruce's family to Tidewater in 1969, where he has enjoyed a colorful music career ever since.

While attending Old Dominion University for engineering, Bruce found John Griggs of the Griggs School of music. He credits John with refining his skills and for "teaching him everything good about his playing." As his playing took on a new direction, Bruce began performing as a solo guitarist/vocalist. During this time, Bruce met Sonny Morris, drummer for The Original Rhondels and longtime entertainment agent. Sonny booked Bruce in and around Hampton Roads. After graduating from O.D.U., Bruce joined the Night Life Review band playing 5 nights a week and studying guitar during the day.

Bruce worked in a variety of bands, including Spectrum, Band Of Gold, Harlow and Bisette, New City Sound And Skywalker, to name a few. For the last 15 years or so, Bruce played guitar with another Rhondel, Dean Englert, in Dean's band Nightshift. Playing clubs and events all throughout the region, Bruce stayed very busy with his music.
Bruce spends his days as a general manager for his family's commercial truck business. He started the Hampton division of Norfolk Truck Center in 1984.

Virginia Beach is now the home of the Harlow family: Bruce's wife, Cecilia, and their children Meredith, Annalee and Bruce, Jr., who also plays guitar.

A wonderful performer, Bruce encourages friends to "come on out and enjoy The Original Rhondels. You owe yourself some fun".
